Christina Hecht

I am taking a closer look at the connection of digitalisation and social order. For my research I am focusing on using sociology of economy and organisation. My dissertation is focusing on how political, ecnomic and civil actors shape the embedding of plattform companies in a local context. To acchieve this I am comparing fields around Airbnb in Cape Town and Berlin. I am focusing on how actors compete around the spatial and temporal order and who is able to assert themselves. I am mainly using qualitative methods but I do integrate quantitative methods to acchieve mixed-methods designs.
