Soziologie at the NCT

Labour as “the first foundation of all human life” (Engels) has been part of my interests since studying sociology at the university of Trier. I have been able to deepen my understanding after switching to the Free University of Berlin, where I studied the establishment of apprenticeship in services tied to industries as part of my dissertation. Since then the focus of my research has been on the connecting point of quesions concerning organisational theory and sociology of labour. Additionally the topic of industrial relations have been part of my research. I am relying on an approach based on institutional theory and am referring on historical institutionalism and the concept of institutional labour.
