Sociology at the NCT

During my studies of political sciences and sociology at Würzburg I was especially interested in the topics digitalisation in various contexts. During my masters degree I focused more intensly on digitalisation and tried to add the perspective of sociology of labour.

Digitalisation and labour – both were the main focus during my studies and they can be found within my current project at the chair of sociology. I am researchung digitalisation, Big Data and the application of AI inside healthcare system. As part of a joint project supported by the BMBF about “responsible handling of artificial intelligence (AI) inside of medicine” (VUKIM) I am taking a closer look at organisational and practical conditions, impact, forms of design and possibilities of AI systems in the context of medicine.
