This page lists some aspects and possible contacts concerning accessability at the university. The page Students with disabilities or chronic illness offer substantial information on how inclusive study is organised at the FAU. This includes information concerning starting your studies and how to easy your daily life in and outside of campus. It also explains how the compensation for disadvantages works. Furthermore you can find contact person that will help you with your problems.
The Website of the Office of Equality and Diversity offers a list of information about accessible rooms. This includes accessible toilets, rooms to relax, rooms with induction units as well a table about elevators, sanitary rooms and parking spaces. These lists are all written in German.
Auf der Website des Büros für Gender und Diversity finden sich mehrere Dateien mit Informationen zu den öffentlich zugänglichen Räumen. Dies umfasst barrierefreie Toiletten, eine tabellarische Auflistung von Ruheräumen, eine Auflistung von Räumen mit Induktionsanlagen und eine Excel Datei mit Informationen über Aufzugsanlagen, Sanitärräume sowie Stellplätze.
The German Association of Students uses the so called “Handbuch Studium und Behinderung” to inform people who are interested in studying at university and study on how to manage their studies with a chronic illness or a disability. It offers foundational information concerning studying, choosing a good university, organisations that can help and what studying will look like. This guide is currently only available in german.
